Supervision and reflective practice

At Thinkwell we offer a supervision style that is a structured process to support individual and group wellbeing and learning. Within this stance, supervision is seen as a form of reflective practice.

Supervision is an opportunity to reflect on work, roles and process in a safe and supportive environment with the continual aim of improving practice and outcomes whatever the work place.

For teams who work with others such as health and welfare staff, emergency services and educators, supervision or reflective practice offers an opportunity for the supervisee(s) to unpack an event or encounter and with support from the supervisor reflect on:

  • what occurred,

  • what went well,

  • what was useful,

  • what was learnt,

  • what if anything might be done differently in a similar event in the future

Our facilitators have extensive experience in providing supervision and reflective practice sessions in a wide range of settings and modalities, both face to face and virtually.

If you are considering supervision for yourself or a group we will discuss with you the model best for the situation, the frequency and length of sessions and where they can be held in a safe space for participants.
